ACTAtekTA Installation and Usage

Description:

ACTAtekTA is a Windows based application that provides the following functionality:

  • PC based User Enrollment (requires the Logiprint USB Remote Registration Device)
  • User, Department and Access Group Management
  • Time and Attendance Reporting
  • Multi-Unit Data Management and Syncronization

 

Installation:

Windows Installer:

The ACTAtek Backup Lite application require Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0. If the required files do not exist on the computer, the Installer will attempt to connect to the internet and download the necessary files. This action may require the user to be logged in with Administrator privileges!

  • Download the Crystal Reports Redistributable file here: Crystal Reports Redistributable
  • Run the "CRRedist2005_x86.msi" file.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
  • Download the ACTAtek TA installation package here: ACTAtek TA
  • "UnZip" the package and run the "setup.exe" file.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

 

Uninstalling:

Uninstalling with Windows:

NOTE: Uninstalling previous versions is recommended when upgrading to a new version.

  • Win98\2000\XP: Click on START -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs
  • Vista: Click on START -> Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features
  • Select ACTAtekTA and uninstall

 

Manually Removing User Files:

Note: Removing user files will permanently delete any infomation that was saved with ACTAtekTA. Please be sure you have a backup of any important data files!

WARNING: The instructions below backup then delete the default data file "ACTA_DB.mdb". If the data file you are using is different, please besure to backup the correct file.

  • Backup Data File: C:\Program Files\ACTAtek\ACTAtekTA\ACTA_DB.mdb
  • Delete Folder: C:\Program Files\ACTAtek\ACTAtekTA

 

Usage:

When starting the ACTAtekTA, the application will display a prompt for the "User name" and "Password". Please user the following default information:

  • User name = admin
  • Password = 1
