Why Does the Event Log contain BOTTOM CASE IS ATTACHED / DETACHED Entries?
Posted by Dan F (Import) on 12 October 2006 09:37 PM

Cause:

The ACTAtek unit comes with an intrusion detection sensor that will display the "BOTTOM CASE IS DETACHED" in the Event Log when the ACTAtek unit is removed from the wall mount. The "BOTTOM CASE IS ATTACHED" event is logged when the unit is replaced.

Possible Problems:

If the ACTAtek unit displays this message (possibly repeatedly) and the unit has not been removed from the wall mounting, then the sensor may be misaligned, not properly connected or defective. Make sure that the two conductor, 2 pin, ribbon cable is securely seated in the socket on the mainboard. Also, be sure that the unit is properly mounted with the sensor depressed on the wall mount. If the problem persists, please submit and Support Ticket to the Technical Support Department.
